Happy new school year!
- Plan ahead your music and books
Enrich your students learning experience and cultural knowledge by offering a diversity of songs and stories. Visit your public library website or branch. You will be surprise of how many books and music in Spanish they have! Just plan ahead to make sure they are available when you need them.
- Visual materials are a must!
Have a white board and color pens handy. Try to draw pictures of what you are explaining or teaching. If you are not Picasso act out the words, it is always fun for everyone in the class!
- Keep parents involved
It is difficult for parents to know what children are learning in their Spanish class. Send classroom updates regularly that include vocabulary lists, music and book resources. The more parents are involved the more they will support their children bilingual education.
