Here are two easy kitchen activities to do with your preschoolers this spring.
Children love to help and be self-sufficient, we all know that! How about turning two fun kitchen activities into enriching projects.Children will have a sense of accomplishment but can learn about sequence, nutrition and practice small motor skills.
Both kitchen activities are perfect when learning about farm animals.
Chocolate Milk | Leche con Chocolate
Using only three ingredients label them with a markers on write down the numbers 1 to 3 on three pieces of paper. First, have your child first (step one) pour some milk on a glass, Then (step two) add cocoa and finally some sugar (step three). Mix and enjoy!
- sequence and following directions
- coordination and skills (pouring and mixing)
Hard-Boiled Eggs | Huevos Cocidos
Have your child peel a hard-boiled egg. They love doing it, and eating it along the way.
- small motor skill development
- nutrition awareness
During these activities ask your child about the products you are using and where they think came from?
